Vargas Llosa ensayos
Wellsprings es el título de una colección de ensayos de Mario Vargas Llosa publicados en inglés por la Harvard University Press en mayo de este año. Los ensayos van desde temas sobre el liberalismo, reflexiones sobre América Latina y autores como Cervantes (especialmente Don Quijote) Jorge Luis Borges y Ortega y Gasset; estos últimos autores aparecen en tres conferencias dictadas por el autor en 2006 en la cátedra Richard Ellmann Lectures in Modern Literature. En la página The Complete Review aparece una reseña del libro que concluye así:
Vargas Llosa presents his arguments and beliefs very well, especially when writing about broader and abstract concepts -- ideals like freedom and democracy. He's least successful when he considers specific contemporary political situations, but there's only a bit of that here, and elsewhere he is far more convincing. His enthusiasm is also particularly winning, whether he's writing about certain works of literature, a teacher, or an idea or ideal, and this passion helps make for an engaging little collection.

10:11 a. m.Vargas Llosa es muy discutido por conservador, y no comparto sus ideas políticas, pero me gusta leerle en sus ensayos literarios, me parecen estimulantes.
