La shortlist de Impac
Este dos de abril aparecio en The Guardian la lista de las ocho novelas que aún pueden optar por el prestigioso premio IMPAC y sus 100,000 euros. En la lista figura una novela originalmente en castellano: La velocidad de la luz, de Javier Cercas, publicada originalmente en Tusquets.

El 12 de junio se sabrá quién es el ganador. Por lo pronto, uno de los voceros del premio ha declarado sobre la diversidad de temas y nacionalidades de las menciones:
"The themes of the 2008 shortlisted titles are international and include war, love, terrorism, politics, religion, family and murder. Nominated by public libraries in Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Ireland, Lebanon, Sri Lanka and the USA, they prove that such a high standard of literature can be read and appreciated by anyone."
