Más Pynchon
[PETITE CLAUDINE] Gracias al blog La Petite Claudine me entero de que la nueva novela de Thomas Pynchon cuesta 35 dólares y además:
a) Tiene 1085 páginas, cinco secciones y alrededor de 410.000 palabras.
b) La primera frase es "the hydrogen skyship Inconvenience, its gondola draped with patriotic bunting".
c) El epígrafe es de Thelonious Monk.
d) Sus secciones se titulan: The Light Over the Ranges, Iceland Spar, Bilocations, Against the Day y Rue du Départ.
Por otra parte, también enlaza una extensa nota en The Guardian que finaliza transcribiendo cómo describe el mismo Pynchon su nueva novela: "Pynchon himself describes Against the Day as 1,000 pages of "stupid songs, strange sexual practices ... obscure languages" and "contrary-to-the-fact occurrences".
